Cicada Killer Wasp

We have decided to catch dangerous creatures. For instance, the cicada killer wasp. That was really fun. We caught three or four. :) We only kept one, however. Beautiful and marvelous.

Here are some photos:

Hehe. It's in a ham container. A Black Forest Ham container. Don't mind the date.

Now it's dead. Huzzah!

Northern Water Snake

For starters, we like nature.
Second, we like dangerous creatures of nature.
Third, we like snakes in particular.
Fourth, we went hunting for snakes.
Fifth, we caught a snake.

So Sting (my brother) and I held it.

It was amazing. The sides felt like butter. :)

We found out it was a Northern Water Snake.

God never ceases to amaze me.

Foofy Baby

Innocent Muffin, so sweet, so fat!
Diligent Muffin waits at the door,
He knows we'll come back.

A longing gaze cast towards the camera.
Please let me out,
I want a tomato!, Baby Bundle cries.
Only the finest for the Pup,
He selects only red tomatoes.

Likkle Puppy stares down the
street.
Is that their van? Dad's car?
Waits all day long.
And he is rewarded with pats-a-plenty.

So heroic, so brave!
He even scares the birds away!
Noble bundle, protecting the seeds!
We never have anything to fear.

The world at his paws!
Or, perhaps just the carpet,
but the dust mites in the carpet are his kingdom!
He rules the floor of our house!
Oh Vacuum Cleaner!
Oh Mop/broom!
Our floor is never dirty after dinner.

A dust mite's view of his noble king,
Staring kindly down onto the soft, carpety kingdom.
*wipes tear* So noble.

Fourth of July

I didn't take any pictures of fireworks, and these were the only two our family took.

Towards the end of the 'show' we ended up just lighting the box of small fireworks. It was fun. :)

Fireworks!

More fireworks! Yay!

I have so many toys and I don't know what to do with them!

Umm... Hi?

Say what?

Out Hiking

Hail! I realize I have written a post on spring (although a short one), and the thought has entered my mind that I should write one on summer. However, I don't have any spectacular shots quite yet, but these are a few in very late spring, I believe. (I wish that these were mine, however. This was probably my sister)

So my 'cousin' (a.k.a. good friend) was marching through the woods, with myself behind him. We ran into a snake, which quickly gathered everyone else in our group. I stayed my distance. Hehe. So our 'cousin' (of course, as first thought) put his hand right next to the snake and was promptly bitten. Heh. I later found, however, that it was a Common Garter Snake. Harmless.

This here is an artistic photo of a snail found in
some rotting wood. The Golux took it.

Our beautiful hiking trail...

Mei Lin

Greetings! I am back! I have been on vacation, you see. Here is a blog post on my new cousin from China.

Her name is Mei Lin, and she has a cleft palate. (Or a cleft lip; I can't recall which one) However, she is one of the sweetest babies I have seen, and she's really smiley and interactive.

My aunt and uncle found out she had been in a foster home for a few months. (I think months... I'm still not quite sure. I've only seen her 2-3 times) Having a foster home was an amazing blessing from God, because she is wanting to walk, she can sit up, and she has nicely developed muscles.
While we were in the restaurant (Fuddruckers; yum!), she would pull out her barrette and hand it to us (or drop it on the floor), and have us put it back in her hair.

Here (second picture) she is trying to find her hair clip to give it to us. She still couldn't seem to figure out we moved the barrette to different places.

Here are a couple more pictures:

The Rise of The Wyrm Lord

Alright, here is another video, based on Wayne Thomas Batson's 'The Rise of The Wyrm Lord'. Amazing book. One of my favorites, actually. A little jerky, short, and confusing if you haven't read the book, but please enjoy!

Some more to Spring

Alright. Here are these pictures of dove, mockingbird, and cardinal eggs and chicks. There's also an immature robin. :) Enjoy!

Radience of the Clouds

The sky looked so enchanting from my window. Pictures cannot capture the beauty, but I tried.

I was tracking a turkey vulture. It was amazing. Sometimes, the sky looks so... So... High. I know it is so vague, but I watch birds go so high. So, so high. Oftentimes I wish I was a bird. To see the world from those heights... An airplane just wouldn't do. I want to use my own wings, my own feathers, to glide far above those houses far, far below.

If only.

Spring Serenade

The trees are in bloom. Spring has arrived.

This is a picture of a dove from last year. I was able to get up really close. I even touched it. Soft birdy. :) Then it layed two pearly white eggs. Then they hatched into grey, ugly chicks. But I'm sure that they are now just as beautiful as their mother. :)
